Job summary

Qualifications

• EMT Instructor Certification required.
• Minimum of one year of experience teaching Basic Life Support (BLS) courses required.
• New Jersey EMT, EMD, or MICP certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students and partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to deliver educational content and facilitate classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and facilitates classroom-based EMT initial certification and recertification courses.
• Delivers engaging educational programs supporting student learning and success.
• Collaborates with the EMS Training Division and Community Training Center leadership to maintain high instructional standards.
• Promotes a positive learning environment to encourage participation and knowledge retention.
• Supports planning, coordination, and delivery of EMS education to ensure compliance with standards.
• Works with training personnel to provide effective EMT education to students and community participants.
