Job summary

HealthPartners Medical Transportation is expanding and has EMT Trainee positions available to help you train toward EMT certification with MN EMSRB. The role supports equipment setup, non-emergent transport, and documentation in the ePCR system; supervision is provided by an EMT/Lead EMT.

No prior EMT certificate is required. If not enrolled, department-sponsored training will run for several months to achieve certification; if enrolled, tuition reimbursement helps cover training costs after

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; enrolled into EMT training or enrollment in a department-sponsored EMT training within 6 months of hire; progress towards graduation toward EMT certification.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensure/Certification: Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• DOT/ST/ Driver: Must meet MN DOT STS Driver requirements and meet past three years of driving rule checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and set up BLS ambulance and wheelchair van equipment.
• Operate department vehicles and provide non-emergent medical transportation to patients per MN DOT STS authority.
• Assist in delivery of Basic Life Support under EMT/Lead EMT supervision.
• Document services in the approved ePCR system.
• Participate in training to become a certified EMT; if enrolled, tuition reimbursement may apply.
