Job Summary:

Responsible for meeting the basic needs of the patient by providing skilled levels of bedside patient care in collaboration with the primary care nurse. The ED Technician provides assistance to other members of the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care. Reports and documents all changes in the patient’s condition to the primary care nurse promptly. Notifies charge nurse, Nurse Manager, or Director of Nursing of departmental issues. Is accountable for all ED nursing care delivered and must adhere to all standards of emergency care. Assists in teaching students rotating through the Emergency Department. Performs clerical duties necessary for department functioning. Must be energetic and motivated to support the success of a growing service.
