Job summary

Glenstone Museum in Potomac, MD is seeking an EMT Security Officer to protect staff and visitors across 300+ acres of museum property. You will participate in safety protocols, respond to incidents, and operate in a state-of-the-art control room with access to advanced security systems.

The role requires EMT-B or higher, CPR/AED, a valid driver’s license, and strong English communication. Must be able to work varied hours and weekends; physical fitness is essential.

Qualifications

• EMT-B or higher certification required or within 30 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle.
• Proficiency in reading/writing English and clear radio/phone communication.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience with electronic security systems and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical incidents and lead in emergencies.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Monitor security systems and perform logs for records.
• Open/close buildings and arm/disarm alarms as needed.
• Ensure welcoming environment for visitors with professional conduct.
• Schedule and deliver CPR/First Aid/AED trainings and drills.
