Job summary

Casa de las Campanas in Rancho Bernardo, within the San Diego area, is hiring aCertified Nursing Assistant for the night shift to support our senior residents. You will provide direct resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse and ensure a clean, safe environment while focusing on activities of daily living and restoration of function.

The role requires a current California CNA certification and CPR, with a minimum of 2 years CNA experience preferred and LTC experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Current California CNA certification is required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years CNA experience preferable.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ambulation, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, etc.).
• Promptly report changes and any unusual occurrences to the Licensed Nurse.
• Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Participate in care planning conferences as requested.
• Transport residents to and from activities and programs.
• Document required data accurately and timely using appropriate forms.
• Respond to call lights promptly.
• Follow facility policies and procedures and identify safety hazards.

Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant shall provide direct resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all residents, with emphasis on activities of daily living and restoration of a higher level of function.

Essential Job Duties

• Assists residents in the activities of daily living including, but not limited to ambulation, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, and activities
• Promptly reports changes and any unusual occurrences regarding residents to Licensed Nurse
• Participates in admission, transfer, and discharge procedures
• Participates in care planning conferences on assigned residents as requested
• Assist in transporting residents to and from activities and programs.
• Accurately documents required data in a timely manner using appropriate forms.
• Responds to each resident’s call light promptly.
• Follows established performance standards and performs duties according to facility policies and procedures.
• Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates appropriate action immediately
