Job summary

Whole Person Care Clinic in Long Beach, CA is seeking an EMT for our Recuperative Care program. You will monitor client health, perform vital signs, respond to emergencies, and support medication administration and care coordination.

Under supervision of licensed clinicians, you will document in the EHR, assist with intake, and collaborate with case managers, housing staff, and behavioral health partners to deliver holistic, trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current, active California EMT certification in good standing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Meet credentialing and certification requirements as defined by WPCC program guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and record monitoring data; report changes to supervising staff.
• Respond to on-site medical emergencies (CPR/AED) and activate 911 when indicated.
• Support medication self-administration and maintain accurate medication logs.
• Coordinate care with Case Managers, housing staff, and clinical teams to deliver whole-person care.
• Document all care activities in the EHR accurately and on time.
