Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in a PRN capacity with the potential to transition to full-time within 3 to 6 months. Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $26.50 per hour, with shifts varying to meet staffing needs.

This role involves stabilizing and transporting patients in ambulance settings, applying BLS, and working closely with RN and dispatch teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited EMT training program required for licensing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required and depending on location, state EMT licensure may be required.
• NIMS ICS-100, 200, and 700 completed; continuing education hours as mandated.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and provide first aid or life support in pre-hospital settings.
• Drive ambulance and coordinate with dispatch and medical staff.
• Restock and disinfect equipment after each call and ensure readiness for next run.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and vital signs.
