Job summary

CentraCare's Emergency Medical Services team in Central Minnesota seeks an EMT to deliver advanced pre-hospital care and transport patients from neonates to geriatric in Paynesville, Benson, or Long Prairie. You will respond to emergencies and provide non-emergent transport while upholding CentraCare’s mission of compassionate care.

The role requires EMT-Basic or Advanced EMT certification, Minnesota EMSRB or NREMT certification, BLS, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EMT-Basic / Advanced EMT course required.
• Valid current NREMT with Minnesota EMSRB Certification or Valid Minnesota EMSRB Certification with NREMT to be obtained by 2032.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced pre-hospital emergency patient care and transportation.
• Care for patients from neonates to geriatric across the service area.
• Provide emergent and non-emergent services to communities.
• Contribute to saving lives and offering comfort during crises.

Your Impactful Role:

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with CentraCare in Paynesville, Benson or Long Prairie, you will be at the forefront of delivering advanced pre-hospital emergency patient care and transportation. From neonates to geriatric patients, your expertise will be crucial in providing both emergent and non-emergent services to individuals across the surrounding communities. Your dedication will be instrumental in saving lives and providing comfort during times of crisis.

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay is $22.85 or more per hour, depending on location and experience.
  • Pay range: $22.85-$34.25 per hour
• Work on our EMS team and get free continuing education through Flight Bridge to maintain and renew your certifications.

Schedule:

• Casual hours; typically 12-hour shifts
  • Shifts to include 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am
• Working various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited EMT-Basic / Advanced EMT (AEMT) course required, verified through certification with the EMSRB or NREMT including prerequisite NIMMS 100, 200, 700 certifications.
• Valid current NREMT with Minnesota EMSRB Certification or Valid Minnesota EMSRB Certification with NREMT to be obtained by 2032.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing is required.
