Job summary

Rockingham County is seeking an individual to perform intermediate technical work providing paramedic level emergency medical care, while maintaining files, records, and reports under the limited supervision of the EMS Lieutenant. Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED with at least some EMS experience.

Certification requirements include NC Paramedic, ACLS, and PALS, and a valid NC driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and minimal experience in emergency medical services, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs intermediate technical work providing paramedic level emergency medical care.
• Maintains files, records, reports, and related work as apparent or assigned.
• Work is performed under the limited supervision of the EMS Lieutenant.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED and minimal experience in emergency medical services, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

License or Certification Requirements:

• Possession of NC Paramedic, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications upon hire.
• Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina.
