Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA, is seeking an ED Tech II/Monitor Tech for a flexible schedule with self-scheduling, premium pay, and a resources pool structure. You will perform life-support care and patient monitoring across non-emergency and emergency settings, while supporting ED Tech I staff and maintaining competency through annual training.

The role requires Virginia/NC EMT-Paramedic certification and 2 years of paramedic experience or equivalent Sentara ED Tech EMT-P

Qualifications

• Virginia or NC EMT-Paramedic certification is required.
• Two years as a paramedic or two years as a Sentara ED Tech with EMT-P in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-based Basic, Advanced, and Specialized Life Support treatment and transportation.
• Train ED Tech I staff as assigned by management.
• Report to the Emergency Department Clinical Manager.
• Complete clinical competencies and hospital orientation for equipment and procedures.
• Attend ongoing training updates annually.
