Job summary

Ro Health is seeking an EMT to join our healthcare team at correctional facilities in New Mexico. The role involves providing essential medical care to inmates and ensuring a safe, clean environment within the facility.

The position requires a valid NM EMT certificate, ability to pass a background check, and TB testing. It is a contract, full-time night and weekend shift with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have NM EMT certificate on record.
• Background check clearance required.
• TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic emergency medical care to inmates.
• Respond to medical emergencies (overdoses, assaults, cardiac events, withdrawals).
• Perform assessments, vital signs, and patient triage.
• Assist with intake medical screenings for new inmates.
• Administer first aid, CPR, AED, oxygen, and approved medications per protocol.
• Organize and maintain medication carts and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Complete all required medication documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with facility and state regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medication area in accordance with facility standards.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
• Supervise and support LVNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility guidelines.
