Job summary

American Medical Response in Gallup, NM seeks an Emergency Medical Technician - Intermediate to respond to emergency and non-emergency medical requests, deliver high-quality care, and ensure patient safety. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• State Driver’s License
• State EMT Intermediate certification
• CPR/BLS certifications
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test

Responsibilities

• EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills for care including communications, medical equipment and office tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain the company image and community relations.
