Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an EMT for Wellstar West Georgia's ambulance team on a full-time basis. You will attend to patients during transport, provide essential emergency care, and support paramedics on scene and in transit.

The role requires strong bedside manner, ability to stay calm under pressure, and proficiency with vital signs, documentation, and Cerner systems. You will participate in community programs and uphold hospital safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• EMT-Basic/EMT-Intermediate/EMT-Advanced or Paramedic certification required.
• Georgia Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Attend to patients transported by ambulance on emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Deliver emergency patient care such as CPR and oxygen while en route.
• Document care and procedures on Patient Care Report and billing sheets.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely in accordance with laws and SOPs.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians and coworkers clearly.
