University Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to deliver pre-hospital Basic Life Support (BLS) to patients of all ages. Under the supervision of an EMS Supervisor, you will assess, treat, lift, and transport patients using appropriate equipment and techniques.
This role requires at least two years of EMS and driving experience, a valid EMT certification, and preferred CEVO/BTLS or PHTLS credentials. NJ reciprocity within six months is expected.
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for delivering pre‑hospital Basic Life Support (BLS) to patients of all ages and backgrounds in all weather conditions. Working under the supervision of an EMS Supervisor and alongside other EMS personnel, the EMT assesses, treats, lifts, and transports patients using appropriate equipment and techniques. The role includes completing required documentation, supporting efficient EMS operations, and representing University Hospital and EMS with professionalism and integrity.
In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly range for this position is TE/1825: Probationary Rate $27.83 – Job Rate $28.33 – Two (2) Year Rate $29.18.
