Labette Health in Neodesha, Kansas is seeking a motivated Emergency Medical Technician to join our Regional Transport Service team. The EMT will provide basic EMS care, respond to ambulance calls, and assist the paramedic in patient care during transport.

Shift pattern includes 12-hour day shifts 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a rotating schedule of three shifts one week and four shifts the next. We value compassionate, professional patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Current Kansas EMT certification.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • PALS certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency ambulance calls.
  • Assess, stabilize, and transport patients using EMS protocols.
  • Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) per Kansas/local EMS guidelines.
  • Assist the paramedic with Advanced Life Support (ALS) interventions.
  • Monitor patients during transport and communicate changes to the paramedic and receiving facility.
  • Complete accurate and timely patient care documentation.
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of ambulances, equipment, and medical supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and response-ready work environment.
  • Participate in continuing education, department training, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with hospitals, first responders, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

This position provides basic emergency medical care, responds to emergency and non-emergency ambulance calls, assists the paramedic in patient care, and safely transports patients to appropriate medical facilities.
