The EMT/Firefighter will meet IDPH/EMS Commission requirements and complete pre-employment screenings. Training in ACLS and PALS is provided by Metro as needed.

Qualifications

• EMT License and Firefighter certification are required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License is required.
• ACLS and PALS training are provided by Metro.
• Pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care and transportation for patients at the EMT/Firefighter level within IDPH/EMS Commission scope.

Overview

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. contractswith local municipalities to provide Emergency Medical Services, Rescue and/or Fire Services.Much of our proven success is attributable to the exceptional, compassionate customer service provided by our employees.

We are currently seeking a full-time EMT/Firefighter for our Bourbonnais contract. Starting annual pay is $55,910.The basic function of the EMT/Firefighter is to provide medical care and transportation for a patient at the EMT/Firefighter (EMT-B) level, within their scope of practice, as stipulated by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.

Qualifications

EMT/Firefighter Qualifications:

• EMT License
• Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification
• CPR Certified
• Valid Illinois Driver's License
• ACLS (Metro will train)
• PALS (Metro will train)
• Successfully completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
• Current enrollment in a Paramedic program preferred
