Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. in Illinois seeks a part-time EMT/Firefighter for the North Park contract to provide medical care and patient transport at the EMT-B level within IDPH scope.

Requirements include EMT license, Firefighter II or Basic Operations certification, CPR, 1 year EMS/Fire experience, and a valid Illinois driver’s license; ACLS/PALS training offered by Metro.

Qualifications

• EMT/Firefighter must have valid EMT license and Firefighter II or Basic Operations certification.
• CPR certification required.
• ACLS and PALS training provided by Metro.
• Minimum 1 year EMS or Fire experience.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Overview

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. contracts with local municipalities to provide Emergency Medical Services, Rescue and/or Fire Services. Much of our proven success is attributable to the exceptional, compassionate customer service provided by our employees.

We are currently seeking a part-time EMT/Firefighter for our North Park contract.

The basic function of theEMT/Firefighter is to provide medical care and transportation for a patient at theEMT/Firefighter (EMT-B) level, within their scope of practice, as stipulated by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.

Qualifications

EMT/Firefighter Qualifications:

• EMT License
• Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification
• 1 year experience
• CPR Certified
• 21 Years of age
• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in EMS or Fire
• Valid Illinois Driver's License
• ACLS (Metro will train)
• PALS (Metro will train)
• Successfully completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
