Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. in Winthrop Harbor is recruiting a full-time Paramedic/Firefighter to deliver emergency medical services, rescue and fire support as per IDPH/EMS Commission guidelines. The base annual starting pay is $73,448.96.

The Paramedic/Firefighter will assess and transport patients, providing care at the EMT-P level within regulatory scope, under supervision and within company protocols. This role requires licensure, certifications, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Paramedic Licensure required.
• Firefighter certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience.
• CPR certified.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License.
• ACLS and PALS training provided by Metro.
• Pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

Overview

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. contracts with local municipalities to provide Emergency Medical Services, Rescue and/or Fire Services. Much of our proven success is attributable to the exceptional, compassionate customer service provided by our employees.

We are currently seeking a full-time Paramedic/Firefighter for our Winthrop Harbor contract. The base annual starting pay is $73,448.96.

The basic function of theParamedic/Firefighter is to provide medical care and transportation for a patient at theParamedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within their scope of practice, as stipulated by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.

Qualifications

Paramedic/Firefighter Qualifications:

• Paramedic License
• Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification
• 1 year experience
• CPR Certified
• 21 Years of age
• Valid Illinois Driver's License
• ACLS (Metro will train)
• PALS (Metro will train)
• Successfully completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
