Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old; health-care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CA Drivers’ License and Ambulance Driver’s License.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MCSA-5875 and MCSA-5876).
• State of California EMT.
• CPR Card (AHA Health Care Provider).
• K4 report (Driving Record) from the DMV (less than 30 days old).
• ICS courses IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.

Responsibilities

• EMTs assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills to provide care including communications, equipment, and procedures.
• Operate an ambulance following safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
