Job summary
Intermountain Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, assess patients, provide CPR and basic life support, and safely transport patients to medical facilities. Qualifications
- Completion of EMT Basic Course required.
- Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
- Current valid driver license in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Assess patients and determine nature and extent of injuries or illness.
- Provide basic life support, CPR, and first aid.
- Stabilize patients at scene and during transport.
- Safely transport patients to hospitals or medical facilities.
- Operate ambulances and other EMS vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Coordinate with other emergency services and with family or staff.
- Document care provided and patient condition accurately.
- Engage in ongoing training to stay current with protocols.
