Description

Summary:

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for providing appropriate emergency medical treatment to injured or ill individuals, including assisting with advanced emergency procedures. The EMT must operate an advanced life support ambulance, conduct regular inspections of the ambulance and equipment to ensure proper operation and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to life-threatening, emergency, and non-emergency medical situations.
• Coordinate with physicians to develop patient care plans based on assessments.
• Lead response teams by coordinating triage, treatment, and transport preparations.
• Ensure all medical equipment and vehicles are functional and stocked.
• Assist in station cleanliness and maintenance.
• Interact with other emergency personnel at scenes.
• Complete all required documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and dispose of them properly.
• Comply with OSHA regulations concerning infection control and hazardous materials.
• Respond to multiple casualty incidents and disasters, providing oversight and triage.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification updates.
• Operate ambulance and medical response equipment effectively.
• Make decisions aligned with organizational policies and legal requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
