Lantern Hill by Erickson Senior Living in New Providence, NJ, seeks a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) to patrol, control gatehouse staffing, and respond to emergencies. You will enforce traffic rules, assist dispatch, and document incidents with precision.

Requirements include being 18+, a valid driver’s license, CPR for Healthcare Providers, and EMR certification (within 30 days if hired). Per diem schedule offers flexible balance with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification; EMR within 30 days if hired.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

Location: Lantern Hill by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) at our gated retirement community. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing our Security and Emergency Services programs and providing outreach within the community.

What you will need

• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).
