Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital in Palm Beach County is seeking an Emergency Services Transport EMT to join the North Texas Division Transport Services’ Team. The ES EMT will assist the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of Medical City Hospital patients, and may work within the EDs as needed.

In this role you will provide patient care under an RN, communicate effectively, and contribute to a coordinated healthcare team.

Qualifications

• EMT-State certification required.
• BLS, Crisis Intervention and EVOC to be completed within specified timeframes.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of patients.
• Provide quality care under the direction of a RN in the ED.
• Operate in the Emergency Department and support care as part of the Healthcare team.
• Maintain active communication, documentation and feedback as needed or requested.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• The Emergency Services (ES) Transport EMT will operate on the North Texas Division Transport Services’ Team. The primary duty of the ES Transport EMT will be to assist the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of Medical City Hospital patients.
• As needed, the ES Transport EMT may function within the free-standing Medical City Alliance Emergency Departments and the main Medical City Alliance Hospital Emergency Department.
• While working in the Emergency Department, the ES EMT will provide quality care to patients under the direction of a RN, in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Medical City Hospital.
• The ES EMT will serve as a member of the Healthcare team through active communication; documentation; feedback and assistance as needed or requested.

• What qualifications you will need:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• (EVOC) Emergency Vehicle Operations Course must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• (EMT-State) Emergency Medical Technician
• (DL) Driver License
