HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a Surgical Services Aide to support our operating rooms. You will prepare and stock the OR, transport patients, and maintain a clean, safe environment to ensure high-quality care.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety protocols, accurate patient verification, and collaboration with the surgical team to keep procedures progressing smoothly.

Qualificações

• BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and safety protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and stock operating room with supplies, equipment, and fluids to ensure procedures start smoothly.
• Safely transport and transfer patients, verify identity, and follow needs for patients with special equipment.
• Clean and turnover operating rooms between cases to maintain a sterile environment.
• Monitor equipment and report issues to ensure safe surgical operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the surgical suite and common areas.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Surgical Services Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting life-changing surgeries that heal and improve lives every day. Your attention to detail as you prepare operating rooms, safely transport patients, and maintain a clean, organized environment will directly impact patient safety, comfort, and the high-quality care we’re committed to delivering.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and stocking operating room with the right supplies, equipment, and fluids to ensure every procedure can start smoothly
• Transporting and transferring patients safely, verifying their identity, and following protocols for those with special needs or medical equipment
• Assisting with cleaning and turning over operating rooms between cases and at the end of the day to maintain a safe, sterile environment
• Monitoring equipment for potential issues and promptly reporting concerns to support smooth, safe surgical operations
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the surgical suite, including hallways, supply areas, and common spaces, to help protect every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
