Job summary

Jan-Care Ambulance, Inc. is hiring an EMT to provide safe and compassionate ambulance transport and emergency medical care. You will perform patient assessment, medical care at the scene, and documentation according to state protocols.

The role requires EMT-8 certification, 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing background checks including OIG, criminal, driving, and references. On-site shifts with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Workforce evaluations and/or equivalent educational screening.
• EMT-8 certification with the state OEMS required.
• Background checks: OIG, Criminal History, Driving History, Child/Elder Abuse, Reference.
• Must maintain valid CPR certification and HIPAA privacy understanding.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation and EMS operations training.
• Provide out-of-hospital care and safe ambulance transport per protocols.
• Lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistance; 33 inch height, 10 ft distance.
• Communicate effectively in English with team, patients, and dispatchers.
• Document patient information in an OEMS-approved system.
• Inspect EMS equipment and ensure ambulances are stocked and operational.
