Key Expected Achievements

• Prevention/Protection: Support the business unit in achieving objectives as specified by the plant, while ensuring safety and quality through being an engaged team member. Ensure safety provisions are operational to control risks on site (verifications, tests, equipment controls, rounds, etc.). Apply, respect, and enforce instructions (internal regulations, security instructions, access and key management, control of people, luggage, and vehicles). Perform and document PP patrols, test and control installations, equipment, and resources. Implement security processes within the SMEP framework. Monitor and operate alarm panels. Implement temporary arrangements as needed. Follow logistics instructions regarding carriers.
• Intervention: Respond to intrusions, incidents, disasters, or alarms. Follow pre-established instructions, evaluate situations, report, and alert responsible parties. Provide first aid and emergency measures as necessary.
• Information / Communication: Provide reception services, inform newcomers about site safety rules, handle calls, and transmit information accordingly.
• Reporting: Write reports on anomalies, fill fire and safety indicators, and monitor their quality.

Purpose

Support the business unit in achieving objectives while ensuring safety and quality as an engaged team member.

Duties

• Respond to plant emergencies, including injuries, chemical spills, security threats, natural disasters, and fires.
• Operate and maintain fire systems (sprinklers, pumps, hoses, DIVs, PIVs).
• Traffic control, patrols, investigations, mail handling.
• Firefighting, including MET leadership.
• Manage visitor reception and switchboard operations.
• Refer to the Business Unit for additional responsibilities and team expectations.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing stairs/ladders.
• Maximum weight lifted: 175 lbs.
• Maximum push/pull force: 150 lbs.

Mental Requirements

• Basic math skills, proficiency with job-specific software, training, and role progression.
• Must have SCNREMT certification.
• Obtain Incident Command, Firefighter, First Responder, Law Enforcement, and HAZMAT certifications. Complete SCFA 1152 or equivalent.

Other Requirements

• Exposure to chemicals, heat, cold, outside work.
• Confined space, hot work, respirator use.
• Maintain network/LDAP access, distinguish colors.
• Meet medical and lifting requirements, maintain SCBA seal.
