Seeking EMT Basic or Advanced EMT for Plasma Donation Center!

NOTE: Salary is based on licensure and experience.

About the Job

• Perform physical examinations and establish medical history to determine donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality
• Assess potential hazards and provide donor education on general health
• Counsel regarding unacceptable test results
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events
• Evaluate history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability
• Assist in employee training
• Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

Job Requirements

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. Current CPR certification required.

Attributes:

• Work performed both standing and sitting for up to 2 to 4 hours per day
• Requires bending and twisting of neck for 1 to 2 hours daily
• Frequent hand movements and ability to manipulate objects
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and reach below shoulder height
• Hearing, color perception, near and far vision, and communication skills required
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms
