Job summary

North Memorial Health seeks an EMT to provide basic life support and transportation to patients in our ambulance services. You will support paramedics and collaborate with RN partners to deliver care at the scene and en route to the hospital.

Requirements include EMT certification in Minnesota or Wisconsin, BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license. Training on IV/medication variance is provided by North Memorial Ambulance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EMT training program completed from an accredited institution.
• Must complete IV and medication variance training through North Memorial Ambulance.
• Current Minnesota or Wisconsin EMT Certification upon start date.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days.
• ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700 or equivalent within 60 days of hire.
• Valid Class D Driver's license in state of residency with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic life support care to sick and injured and transport patients to a medical facility.
• Assist paramedics in delivering advanced care within scope of practice.
• Work with RN partners and respond to emergency scenes; ensure patient safety and smooth handoffs.
