Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda Pharmaceutical Company subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor safety and support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage donor adverse events under Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

You will support regulatory compliance, participate in safety initiatives including vaccination programs, and assist with environmental, health and safety at the center.

Qualifications

• Licensed EMT-B to EMT-P in the state of responsibility.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
• FDA-mandated BioLife Medical Support Specialist training required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, medical history, and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Escalate findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage occupational health issues and refer to EHS guidance as needed.
• Possibly serve as Pandemic Coordinator with EHS authorization.
