Job summary

Trinity Health in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Full-time Emergency Medical Technician to perform basic life support and transport patients under physician direction. This role features rotating shifts: 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, with every-other-weekend duties.

You must hold a valid Michigan EMT-B license and a Michigan driver's license with a clean driving history. You will report to the Field Supervisor, maintain vehicle readiness, complete reports, and follow safety protocols

Qualifications

Current EMT Basic license from the State of Michigan.
Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving history.

Responsibilities

Renders basic life support procedures to patients per state/local protocols.
Provides accurate oral reports to designated medical personnel.
Operates Pro-Med vehicles safely and professionally during transport.
Communicates with Dispatch via radio or telephone.
Completes all reports legibly and promptly.
Checks operating supplies and vehicle at each shift change.
Inspects vehicle to ensure readiness for service (brakes, lights, fluids, etc.).
Performs duties in a safe, courteous, confidential and professional manner.
Provides medical examination and screening per Medical Control Authority protocols.
Uses PPE and safety equipment as required by law and company policies.
Maintains vehicles and quarters per Pro-Med policies.
Other duties as assigned.
