Job summary

MaineHealth Emergency Medical Services in Norway, ME is seeking an EMT‑Basic for per diem shifts at the Stephens Hospital base. You will provide basic life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care in accordance with state and local protocols.

The base covers 9 towns, operates 3–4 crews around the clock, and uses cutting-edge equipment. Schedules are posted 2–3 months out with 12– and 24‑hour shifts, offering a structured, teamwork‑driven environment at MaineHealth

Qualifications

• Completion of EMT-basic course required.
• Current EMT-Basic license required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Current BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• The EMT - Basic role provides basic life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care to patients when indicated by the patient’s injury or illness in accordance with state and local protocols.
