Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Virginia.
• AHA BLS - HCP required.
• HAZMAT Awareness and PHTLS or BTLS Basic required within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assesses illness or injury to establish and prioritize procedures.
• Administers basic emergency procedures and medications.
• Observes, records, and reports patient condition and response to treatment.
• Maintains records and assists with insurance billing and charges.
• Transports patients to hospital while following safety guidelines.
