Job summary

Global Medical Response seeks Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests, delivering high-quality care and customer service. The role includes on-site duties at Buellton with opportunities for a Paramedic Scholarship after 12 months of full-time EMT employment.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care delivery with appropriate equipment, documentation, safety, and collaboration with health and public safety teams.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CA Drivers' License and Ambulance Driver's License.
• Medical Examiner's Certificate and State of CA EMT license.
• CPR Card (AHA HC Provider); K4 DMV driving record (less than 30 days old).
• ICS trainings IS-100/200/700/800 per FEMA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, determine needed care and deliver emergency services.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills for care including communications and equipment.
• Operate ambulance in line with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

• EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
• EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.

• Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age; some prior work experience in a health care system preferred

Salary Range: $26.52 - $30.48 /hr DOE (This rate applies to 12-hour shift and average 42 a week)
