Job summary

City Ambulance Service is seeking experienced EMT-Basics to join our growing team in Grapevine, Texas and surrounding communities. You will respond to emergency and non-emergency transports, assess patients, and provide essential life support according to local protocols.

We offer competitive earnings with a base range of $50,280 to $60,336 USD per year, plus overtime with no cap and opportunities to earn 72 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Texas EMT-Basic license required.
• 2 years EMS experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency transport calls.
• Assess patient condition and determine treatment per protocol.
• Provide first-aid and advanced life support as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients and relay information to team.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to hospitals or healthcare facilities.
• Document care provided and observations for physicians.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies after use.

Schedule: 24 ON/ 48 OFF, 48 ON/96 OFF or Kelly Schedule

• Employees can make $68,000-$82,000+/year by picking up extra shifts to work 72 hours/wk (depending on experience)

No cap on overtime - 24 hour shifts.

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation, we have multiple station locations in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, College Station, Odessa, Midland, Temple, Killeen, San Angelo, Lubbock, Round Rock, Beaumont, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston, Corpus Christi, etc. We are currently looking to expand our team of EMT-Basics here in Grapevine, Texas and Surroundings. We are seeking experienced, dedicated and motivated EMTs to join our team. We are looking for team members that can provide the advanced level of patient care that our patients and partners have come to expect from City Ambulance Service.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
• Report their observations and treatment to physicians, or other healthcare facility staff.
• Document medical care given to patients in a prompt and effective manner.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
• Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance and station locations daily.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
• Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.
• Valid State of Texas EMT-Basic license Required.
• 2 Years experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.

Expected Gross Earnings by Committing to a 24/48 or 48/96 Schedule

• $50,280/year - $60,336/year depending on experience.
• Employees can make $68,000-$82,000+/year by picking up extra shifts to work 72 hours/wk (depending on experience)
