City Ambulance Service, based in Corpus Christi, Texas, is seeking experienced EMT-Basics to join our growing team. You will respond to emergency and non-emergency transports, assess patients, provide life support, and communicate clearly with the team to ensure high-quality care.

This full-time role offers a rotating schedule with 48 hours on and 96 hours off, competitive earnings, overtime potential, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas EMT-Basic license (or other compact state) required.
• 2 years EMS experience preferred.
• Experience with MICU-level transports and devices like IV pump, ventilator, cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency transport calls.
• Assess patient condition and determine treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid and/or advanced life support.
• Explain procedures and relay information to team.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to hospitals or facilities.
• Document care promptly and accurately.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment.

Schedule:

Full-Time: 48 ON/ 96 OFF

Employees can make $68,640-$82,368/year by picking up extra shifts to work 72 hours/wk (depending license type & on experience).

No cap on overtime.

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation, we have multiple station locations in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, College Station, Odessa, Midland, Temple, Killeen, San Angelo, Lubbock, Round Rock, Beaumont, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston, etc. We are currently looking to expand our team of EMT-Basics here in Corpus Christi, Texas and Surroundings. We are seeking experienced, dedicated and motivated EMTs to join our team. We are looking for team members that can provide the advanced level of patient care that our patients and partners have come to expect from City Ambulance Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
• Report their observations and treatment to physicians, or other healthcare facility staff.
• Document medical care given to patients in a prompt and effective manner.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
• Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance and station locations daily.

Qualifications:

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
• Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.
• Valid State of Texas (or other compact state) EMT-Basic license REQUIRED.
• 2 Years experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.

Expected gross earnings working a Full-Time 48/96 rotating schedule:

• $50,280/year - $63,688/year (depending on license type & experience).
• 48 ON/96 OFF rotating type of schedule.
• Employees can make $68,640-$82,368/year by working 72 hours/wk (depending on license type & experience).
• No cap on overtime.
