Job summary

City Ambulance Service is actively expanding its EMT-Basic team in Dallas, Texas. The role involves responding to emergency and non-emergency transports, providing essential patient care, and coordinating with medical staff to ensure safe transport and documentation.

Qualified candidates will hold a Texas EMT-Basic license with at least two years in EMS and experience with MICU transports. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Texas EMT-Basic license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Emergency Medical Services.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency transport calls.
• Assess patient condition and determine treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid or advanced life support.
• Explain procedures and relay information to team.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance and to hospitals.
• Report observations and treatment to physicians and staff.
• Document care promptly and accurately.
• Maintain and clean equipment and ambulance.
• Keep crew quarters and stations orderly.

Job description

Schedule: 24 ON/ 48 OFF or 12hrs shifts on a 2/2/3.

Employees can make $80,000+/year by picking up one extra shift every other week.

No cap on overtime - 12 or 24 hour shifts.

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation, we have multiple station locations in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, College Station, Odessa, Midland, Temple, Killeen, San Angelo, Lubbock, Round Rock, Beaumont, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston, Corpus Christi, etc. We are currently looking to expand our team of EMT-Basics here in Dallas, Texas and Surroundings. we are seeking experienced, dedicated and motivated EMTs to join our team. We are looking for team members that can provide the advanced level of patient care that our patients and partners have come to expect from City Ambulance Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
• Report their observations and treatment to physicians, or other healthcare facility staff.
• Document medical care given to patients in a prompt and effective manner.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
• Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance and station locations daily.

Qualifications:

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
• Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.
• Valid State of Texas EMT-Basic license Required.
• 2 Years experience in Emergency Medical Services required.

Expected Gross Earnings by Committing to a Rotating Schedule:

• $50,280/year - $60,336/year depending on experience.
• Employees can make $80,000/year by picking up one extra shift every other week.
• No cap on overtime.
