Job summary

Loyola Medicine Transport is seeking a dedicated EMT to join its team in Illinois. You will transport patients between facilities or to residences, ensuring safety and high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Required IDPH EMT Basic License, high school diploma or GED, and CPR/BLS. Competitive hourly pay and benefits available from day one, with shift differentials and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Valid EMT license issued by IDPH.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Transport sick or injured patients to or between medical facilities and/or residences.
• Actively participate in safe patient care and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance and cleaning.
• Replenish medical equipment and supplies.
• Monitor and operate all communications equipment with the dispatcher.
• Respond to all requests for service as directed by the dispatcher.

What you’ll do:

• Transport sick and/or injured patients to or between appropriate medical facilities and/or residence.
• Actively participate in the safe delivery of patient care and maintain a safe environment for all patients.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance check and cleaning.
• Replenish medical equipment and supplies.
• Monitor and properly operate all communications equipment to ensure efficient, constant, and appropriate contact with the communications department.
• Respond to all requests for service in an optimal manner and the priority of response as directed by the dispatcher.

Pay Range:

$16.49 - $24.44 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
