Job summary

AMR is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance, delivering high-quality care, treatment, and customer service in Independence, Missouri.

Starting at $19.00 per hour, the EMT BASIC role involves assessments, documentation, safety, use of equipment, and collaboration with public safety personnel; required Missouri EMT and BLS; PAT; valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Missouri EMT certification required
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• CPR certification required
• NREMT certification preferred
• State driver's license and clean driving record required
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT) required
• High School Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments, determine care, and deliver emergency services using EMT skills.
• Document patient information and treatment while protecting privacy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, stocked environment for patients.
• Operate EMT equipment and vehicles per safety policies.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image.

We’re hiringEmergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)who will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:

• EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
• EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Missouri EMT certification
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• CPR certification
• NREMT certification preferred
• State Driver’s License
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT)
