Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) with part-time or full-time opportunities. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour and up, based on experience, with pay range $19.00–$23.25/hr.

EMTs respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance, delivering high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. Minimum qualifications include being 18+, a HF diploma or GED, EMT cert, CPR/BLS, and a valid state driver’s license. PAT required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• State Driver’s License is required.
• State EMT certification is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• EMTs assess patients, determine needed care, and deliver emergency services.
• Document patient information and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate skills for care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, and office equipment.
• Operate an ambulance following safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow EMTs.

We’rehiringEmergency Medical Technicians(EMTs) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:

• EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, andtreatmentwhile maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Take pride in providinga safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriateskills to provide care includingcommunications, medicalequipment, cleaningprocedures, office equipment, and tools.
• EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.
