Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, Colorado, is seeking staff to provide emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of a physician, physician assistant, or registered nurse. This is a full-time rotating position with fast-paced responsibilities including establishing IV access, collecting specimens, wound care, ECGs, and telemetry monitoring.

You will assist with medical procedures, support patient flow, and report changes to the care team.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification and EMT-B with IV certification or EMT-I are required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical procedures as delegated, including IV access, specimen collection, wound care, and transporting patients.
• May perform ECGs and vital signs/telemetry monitoring.
• Assists physicians and nurses with medical procedures, examinations, minor surgeries, orthopedic treatment, and resuscitation.
• Reports abnormal assessment findings or changes to medical/nursing staff.
• Assists with patient flow and keeps patient rooms clean, stocked, and orderly.
• Works with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and takes appropriate action.
