Job summary

Intermountain Health's Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is seeking an Emergency Department level technician to support vital patient care. Qualifications

• Must hold Basic EMT or Paramedic license in state of practice.
• Colorado ED experience or national/state license acceptable.
• BLS-HCP certification required upon hire.
• IV certification required.
• Capable of life support and patient care duties in a fast-paced ED.

Responsibilities

• Obtains vital signs and informs RN or Physician of changes.
• Collects blood, urine, saliva, and stool samples for analysis.
• Inserts Foley catheters, assists with wound care and devices.
• Performs 12-lead EKGs and supports procedures for doctors.
• Assists with safe movement and patient handling.
• Assists with admitting, transfers, and discharge instructions.
• Applies and checks restraints as directed.
• Maintains charts and supports unit secretary duties.
• Upholds infection prevention standards.
