Job summary

UCHealth Emerg Aurora Central in Colorado is seeking a role that provides emergent/urgent patient care under physicians, PAs, and/or RNs. This is an on-site full-time position with days shifts and a 72-hour pay-period schedule.

The job emphasizes rapid IV access, specimen collection, wound care, and assisting with procedures, with a focus on patient flow and safety in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED.
• Current State Licensure as an EMT with IV certification, or EMT-I.
• BLS through AHA/Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; card valid through 60 days after hire.
• BLS/CPR card must be valid through start date.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical procedures as delegated, including establishing IV access, collecting specimens, providing wound care, and transporting patients.
• Assists physicians and nurses with examinations, minor surgical interventions, orthopedic treatment, and resuscitation.
• Reports abnormal assessment findings to medical/nursing staff and supports patient flow.
• Keeps patient rooms clean, stocked, and orderly.
