Advanced Medical Transport is hiring full-time Basic EMTs in the Peoria area. EMTs respond to emergencies, support interfacility transports, and assist in stand-by events, often working 12-hour shifts in Peoria, Pekin, and Chillicothe.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, current IL EMT license, and valid IL driver’s license. Benefits include 403(b) match, PTO, holiday pay, uniforms, CE, tuition reimbursement, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current EMT license in Illinois with BLS CPR.
• Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
• Provide emergency care using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Transport patients per policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean vehicle and inventory.
• Operate and drive ambulance in accordance with safety policies.
• Assist paramedics in advanced life support situations.
• Maintain current certifications as required by licensure.
• Present a professional appearance and attitude.
