Job summary

ProgressiveHealth Occ Health, LLC in San Marcos, TX, is hiring PRN EMT-B, AEMT, or Paramedics to join our on-site health team at an H-E-B distribution facility. This role focuses on emergency response, injury prevention, and keeping employees healthy and safe on the job.

You will respond to on-site medical emergencies, provide care and triage, and work with EH&S and clinical staff to support occupational health programs; must maintain confidentiality and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure/certification in good standing or ability to obtain prior to start
• CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain prior to start; maintain proof
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for entire shift
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; maintain confidentiality; proficient with databases and MS Office

What will you be doing in this role?

• Respond to emergency medical situations on-site according to established protocols
• Provide injury care, medical triage, and escalation to higher-level care as needed
• Conduct safety checks and report health and safety concerns to the Environment, Health, & Safety (EH&S) team
• Maintain and inspect emergency medical equipment to ensure functionality and readiness
• Perform drug screenings and other health surveillance procedures as required
• Collaborate with medical and safety teams to support injury prevention and occupational health programs
• Assist in documentation of medical care provided, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Support clinical staff with follow-up care
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and the client about ongoing health initiatives and employee health updates
• Maintain proper inventory of medical supplies and ensure all equipment is stocked and operational
• Other duties, as assigned

• The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure prior to the start of employment
• CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s) prior to the start of employment
• The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift
• A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
