Marshall Medical Centers seeks an EMT-BASIC with a valid Alabama license to provide critical patient care and safe driving in emergency situations. The role involves on-scene treatment, vital signs monitoring, and communication with hospital staff.
The EMT-BASIC will drive emergency vehicles, maintain credentials, and ensure rapid, accurate documentation of care while contributing to a high standard of patient service in urgent environments.
The Emergency Medical Tech.- BASIC performs a wide variety of patient care activities related to patients being treated and transported to the hospital by ambulance. The EMT-BASIC also performs the responsibilities of driving emergency vehicles providing due regard for the safety of others while operating the ambulance. The EMT–BASIC performs patient care activities when attending to the patient in the patient compartment of the ambulance. The EMT-Basic performs Life Support procedures within their scope of practice as approved by the Alabama Department of Public Health EMS Division.
Required: Graduate of an accredited High School or GED with a license from the Alabama State Department of Public Health as an EMT-BASIC/DRIVER.
