Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking an EMT to respond to both emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests. You will be responsible for checking ambulance readiness and providing immediate care.

The ideal candidate must hold an EMT License and possess a Driver’s License. Certifications in various National Incident Management System courses and Hazardous Materials Awareness are required within 6 months of hiring.

Qualifications

• Must have Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) License in Illinois upon hire.
• Must have Driver's License upon hire.
• Certification in NIMS 200, 700, and 800 required within 6 months.
• Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification required within 6 months.
• Emergency Response to Terrorism Certification required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls to provide care to the ill and injured.
• Check and monitor ambulance readiness.
• Communicate crew and vehicle position clearly.
• Clean ambulances, utility vehicles, and crew quarters daily.
• Provide direction to EMTs during ambulance calls.
• Transport patients in wheelchair van when needed.

Overview

The Arrow EMT responds to emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests. Has assigned daily and weekly duties, such as cleaning of ambulances and equipment, to complete during work hours.

Compensation And Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $16.21per hour - $26.26per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
