Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital in Lewistown, PA, seeks an EMT trainee for a full-time program. This role starts with a training period at $15.00 per hour, transitioning toward EMT duties upon certification and a subsequent pay increase.

You will attend classroom instruction, participate in hands-on practice, and commit to a two-year employment period after program completion. Shift: days, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• EMT training program participation expected.

Responsibilities

• Operates the emergency vehicle in compliance with the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code.
• Communicates and coordinates with dispatchers, supervisors, and other leaders.
• Maintains equipment and vehicles and reports deficiencies.
• Documents patient care and transportation accurately.
• On-the-job training includes CPR, AED, First Aid, and EMS topics.
• Work typically performed in a clinical environment.
• Adheres to organization policies and procedures.
