Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin is seeking a full-time EMT or AEMT to join our Transport EMS team. This position offers day shift coverage, a 36-hour work week across three days, and a focus on rapid, compassionate patient care during transport.

You will perform patient assessments, monitor vitals, lift and move patients, document PCRs, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. Kentucky EMS certifications and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• EMT-Basic Certification by Kentucky Board of EMS.
• Kentucky EMT-Advanced Certification for AEMT.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers per AHA/ARC.
• Driver's license valid.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments to identify injuries or emergencies.
• Provide compassionate care during transport to medical facilities.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust treatments as needed.
• Lift and move patients, often >250 lbs, in teams.
• Transport patients using EMS vehicles with safety.
• Handover to receiving staff with detailed reports.
• Maintain accurate PCRs and transportation records.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Inspect EMS equipment and vehicles for readiness.
• Report equipment or vehicle deficiencies to the appropriate personnel.
