Job summary

Aiken Technical College is seeking Basic EMT Adjunct Instructors. Classes may meet daytime, evenings, weekends, or online.

Faculty may teach split schedules and dual enrollment in high schools, with duties including hands-on and theory instruction, syllabus development, and student supervision. Minimum requirements include an Associate's degree and DHEC EMT Instructor authorization (current or eligible), CPR Instructor Certification, and completion of NHTSA or DHEC instructor Methodology

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required and authorization by DHEC as EMT Instructor (current or eligible).
• Current CPR Instructor Certification (AHA, Red Cross, AHAI) required.
• Completion of NHTSA or DHEC approved instructor Methodology courses required.

Responsibilities

• Instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus, and lesson plan development.
• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for taught courses.
• Ensure courses are taught in accordance with established syllabi.
• Recommend instructional materials and adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
• Supervise students.
