Job summary

AMR Las Vegas is offering an EMT training program with a paid training wage, sponsored by AMR. The ten-week EMT Academy qualifies you to take the National Registry exam and pursue SNHD licensure after completion. Upon success, you’ll transfer to a full-time EMT role within AMR Las Vegas and MedicWest Ambulance.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and HS diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license with at least 1 year driving experience.
• One year work experience in healthcare or military preferred.
• Complete pre-employment screening including background checks, drug test, Fisdap, and agility test.
• Sign 12‑month service commitment.

Responsibilities

• Drive emergency vehicle to and from calls using the fastest safe route.
• Perform basic EMT care and basic life support as per protocol.
• Assist in patient lifting and transport to ambulance.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Maintain vehicle, equipment, and station cleanliness and readiness.
• Communicate delays, issues, or shortages to supervisor.
